PT HM Sampoerna said that Indonesia's overall domestic cigarette consumption in the first quarter of 2016 decreased by 5.9 percent. Sampoerna's market share is known to have declined 1.3 percent, due to the economic slowdown and the impact of rising prices on the market. PT HM Sampoerna menyebutkan konsumsi rokok dalam negeri Indonesia secara keseluruhan kwartal I tahun 2016 menurun 5,9 persen. Market share Sampoerna sendiri diketahui menurun 1,3 persen, akibat melandainya perekonomian dan dampak dari naiknya harga-harga di pasaran.
