DESCRIPTION (EN)

Sequentially from right to left, Chairman of the Surabaya Commercial Court Nursyam, Director General of Customs and Excise Heru Pambudi, Supreme Court Justice I Gusti Agung Sumanantha, East Java Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Jamaludin, Plh.Dirjen Intellectual Property Ministry of Law and Human Rights Brigjen Pol Reynhard P.Silitonga , and Director of Special Economic Crime of the Criminal Investigation Police Brigadier General Daniel Tahimonang Silitonga, made a compact greeting after examining a pile of cardboard boxes containing thousands of ballpoints from Indonesia that were forged by Chinese companies. Thousands of 'asphalt' ballpoints imported by importers from Indonesia, are now confiscated by Customs for alleged counterfeiting of brands, at the Surabaya Container Terminal (TPS), Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya, Thursday (01/09/2020). The arrest of the importation of goods worth more than Rp 1 billion which is allegedly violating Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), is the first conducted by the Indonesian government since the issuance of Law No.10 of 1995 concerning Customs. This can be done because all legal instruments and border measurement systems of Indonesian IPR are now complete, making it possible to take action on the importation / export that is allegedly violating IPR. This is at the same time to answer legal certainty for foreign investors who will enter Indonesia. - JP / Wahyoe Boediwardhana / Adi / 20

DESCRIPTION (ID)

- JP/Wahyoe Boediwardhana/Adi/20
