Workers are unloading garlic sacks at Kramat Jati Central Market, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/3). Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that from January to November 2011, garlic imports reached 381,756 tons, up 15.98%. The Ministry of Agriculture noted that Indonesia imports 360 thousand tons of Garlic per year or around 95 percent of the total domestic demand due to lack of supply from local farmers. -JP / R. Data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat, periode Januari sampai November 2011, impor bawang putih mencapai 381.756 ton atau naik 15,98% .
